Bibiani Gold Stars head coach Frimpong Manso says he is very happy his team finally got an away win in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season.

He said this in a post-game interview after Gold Stars beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 with Samuel Attah-Kumi’s goal separating the teams in the 69th minute.

Hearts had the chance to get a goal in the contest but forward Hamza Issah’s firmly struck penalty in the 75 minute was well saved by Emmanuel Kobi.

Having missed out on a win in all three previous away games before meeting Hearts of Oak at the University of Ghana Stadium, the win over Hearts was one that stuck with Frimpong Manso.

“I am excited because this is our first away win. We’ve been drawing in our last three away games and now the fourth one, we’ve got a win so I’m very satisfied, very happy with the result.”

Gold Stars lead the league standings with 18 points after picking up its fifth win in eight games to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.
