Aduana Stars Football Club assistant head coach, W.O. Tandoh, believes his team deserved to beat Accra Hearts of Oak because the Phobians played “ordinary football”.

He said this after his side gutted out a goalless draw against Hearts at the University of Ghana Stadium despite going down by a man in the 57th minute.

Rich Mensah was shown a second yellow card after catching an opponent with an elbow but the Yaw Acheampong led side held on for the vital point.

After taking a swipe at Hearts fans who believe he has jinxed the club following his unceremonious exit, former Hearts of Oak assistant coach, W.O.Tandoh, believes that his club’s performance deserved a win especially when the opposing team played football that was ordinary. “We outplayed them. We outplayed them, it’s just sheer luck. If they (players) had listened to the instructions perfectly, the first half, the game (would have been) finished. They (Hearts of Oak) played ordinary football.”

Hearts missed several chances to get the winner including a big miss from Salim Adams and the draw piles more pressure on under fire coach Aboubakar Ouattara whose side has just a win in five games.
