Leicester City manager Steve Cooper has praised Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for his output in The Foxes dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Southampton.
Leicester trailed 2-0 at half time but Issahaku stepped off the bench in the 59th minute to assist Facundo Bounanotte goal for Leicester’s first and spark the comeback.
The 20 year old’s performance comes on the back of a frustrating time with Ghana’s Black Stars during the international break where Ghana drew goalless and lost 2-0 to Sudan in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Fellow Black Stars player Jordan Ayew scored the winning goal in the 98th minute for Leicester City with practically the last kick of the game. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I personally love him. He’s a character, and he’s definitely there. What I am enjoying, is helping him become an exciting Premier League player.

The fans love him, and rightly so. We’ve just got to push him to become the player he can become” Cooper said to the BBC.

In his debut season in the English Premier League, Issahaku has two assists in eight appearances.
