Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has stated that his club has done very well dealing with the pressure of playing home games despite the change in venue.

Kotoko have been forced to play their home games at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium due to the closure of the Baba Yara Stadium for renovation after the stadium’s approval to host international games was removed by CAF. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Speaking in a post-game interview after Kotoko’s 1-0 win over FC Samartex 1996 for Kotoko’s third straight home win, Dr. Ogum made it known that there is always pressure on Kotoko to win irrespective of the venue but praised his side for their performances in Obuasi.

The loss is the first of the season for Ghana Premier League defending champions, FC Samartex.

“Everywhere Kotoko plays there is pressure. Everywhere we play there is pressure because the expectations of the supporters are always high so it’s not only Baba Yara, here too there is pressure but I think we have been able to manage it very well.”
