Ghanaian attacking midfielder Michael Baidoo has been called up to the Black Stars squad that will play against Sudan on Thursday, October 10 in Accra at 16:00 GMT and Monday, October 14 at 13:00 GMT in Benghazi, Libya.

Baidoo was called up as one of four players to replace injured players including Black Stars captain Thomas Partey and Los Angeles Galaxy winger Joseph Paintsil for the double header. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

The likes of AZ Alkmaar’s Ibrahim Sadiq also got called up for the crucial games that could jump start Ghana’s 2025 AFCON qualification chances or pretty much end it.

25 year old Baidoo had a fine 2024 season in the Swedish league with Elfsborg where he registered 10 goals and four assists in 24 games.

In the Europa League, Baidoo has a goal in two appearances after bagging three assists and three goals in eight games in the Europa League Qualifying Round.
