Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team-the Black Stars- Otto Addo says that the Black Stars have very good players but need to get better on the mental aspect on their game.

He said this in an extensive interview where he highlighted several issues after Ghana lost 2-0 to Sudan to all but have its qualification chances to the 2025 AFCON in Morocco completely quashed.

Aside describing the 2-0 loss to James Kwasi Appiah’s Sudan as a “hard pill” to swallow, Otto Addo believes improving on the mental side of the game is needed for his team’s growth. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“You see that the boys have it, the boys have it, it’s just a mental thing. For us, it’s very very important and this is where we have to pick up this is where we have to be better; when things go wrong, to stick to the plan.”

“The main plan has to be fulfilled and the players have to learn…to stick to the plan, to be conscious at what you can do, to believe in the plan so that we can work together to come out of a situation but if we are not brave then we have a problem.”
