Ghana center Amida Brimah is looking at the positive side of joining Valencia Basketball Club during the international break.

He highlighted this at his official presentation to the club after signing to play out the remainder of the 2024-2025 season. He played for fellow Liga Endesa club Baxi Manresa on a loan contract in the early part of the campaign.

His signing came at a time players had joined their national teams to engage in qualification games including the qualifiers for the 2025 AfroBasket.

Though he has missed out on getting on with his new teammates, the Belgian League winner with Filou Oostende stated,

“It’s good to be here and have this time to learn the plays, adapt to the team, and know what the coach wants from me. This will make it a little easier to play with the team when they arrive. The best thing I can contribute is defense.”

Since turning pro in 2017, the 6 foot 10 inch defender has played for Austin Spurs in the NBA G-League, briefly in the NBA for Indiana Pacers and for teams in France and Serbia.
