Citi Sports can confirm that the Black Stars Management Committee has been dissolved in the wake of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council’s widely reported meeting.

The meeting took place on Wednesday, November 20 after the Black Stars terrible 2025 AFCON qualification campaign came to an end.

Ghana’s Senior National Men’s Football Team ended the qualification campaign ranked bottom in Group F and failed to qualify to the AFCON for the first time in 20 years.

Angola and Sudan qualified ahead of Ghana from the group with former Black Stars head coach James Kwasi Appiah leading Sudan to just its second AFCON appearance since 2012.

Aside agreeing to keep Black Stars head coach Otto Addo as head coach, the GFA EXCO, through a press statement, decided to dissolve the Black Stars Management Committee immediately. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“Immediate dissolution of the Management Committee of the senior national football team, the Black Stars. In doing so, we sincerely thank the members of the Committee for their service to Ghana Football over the years” the statement read.

The Black Stars Management Committee has come under intense scrutiny over its role and the high level of remuneration.
