Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has admitted that despite beating bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak, his team should have wrapped up the tie and not leave it late to clinch the win.
He said this in his post-game presser after Kotoko beat Hearts 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium with striker Albert Amoah scoring the winning goal in the 95th minute.
Sunday’s win was its fourth over Hearts of Oak in a row with the unbeaten streak over the Phobians including back to back wins in last season’s league campaign.
“Absolutely, there is a lot of work to do. It’s something we must admit as a coach. As a coach, I have to admit. If you look at the chances we created, we shouldn’t have gotten to 90+5 (minutes) before scoring, we should have finished this game in the first half.”

Kotoko have moved to sixth place in the 18 team league standings and tied on points (21) with fifth placed Medeama SC. Scroll down to watch video from 6:55 mark.
