Ghana forward Andre Dede Ayew has reacted to Le Havre Athletic Club’s heavy loss at home by stating that the loss is not easy for the team to take.
He said this in a post-game interview after Le Havre lost 3-0 to Strasbourg; the loss is Le Havre’s 11th in 15 French Ligue 1 games in the 2024-2025 season.
The Black Stars player came off the bench in the 64th minute and played 26 minutes in the contest and had five touches while completing three of four passes accurately.
After the loss, Le Havre fans reacted in a hostile manner and rained boos on the players and Ayew believes the situation is tough for the club.
“It’s not easy to be at home hear that and see that the fans are not happy but I understand them. We give everything, they also give everything. We are all in this situation together. We cannot give them the wins and that is what people really expect.
We are going to try to make them happy but we really need them. Without them, it’s going to be complicated. I know they are still here they are with us but in difficult times we need them more and I can assure them we are going to do everything in May Le Havre will still be in Ligue 1.”
Dede Ayew has made eight appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
