Jordan Ayew scored his fourth goal in 17 games in the 2024-2025 English Premier League season as Leicester City lost 3-1 to Liverpool on Boxing Day.
Liverpool got goals from Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones and Mohammed Salah in the 46th, 49th and 82nd minute respectively.
Jordan Ayew’s goal, that ended up as a consolation, came early in the sixth minute as The Foxes shocked Anfield with the former Crystal Palace player getting on the end of a Stephy Mavididi cross from the left.
Black Stars player, Jordan Ayew, took Mavididi’s cross well and managed to shake off Andrew Robertson’s close marking with a sharp turn before shooting the ball that struck Virgil Van Dijk’s heel to get past Alisson Becker’s outstretched right hand into the bottom right corner of the net.
Following the loss, Leicester City have slipped to 18th in the league ahead of its clash against Manchester City on Sunday, December 29.

33 year old Jordan Ayew joined Leicester from Palace on a two year deal with a third year being an optional year for Leicester reportedly worth $10 million.
