I’m excited this is happening now- Greater Accra B’ball Chair on Girls Empowerment Camp

ABL Chairman Ayitey Bulley

Greater Accra Basketball Association Chairman Ayitey Bulley says he is excited about the timing of the Me Overcoming Me Empowerment Camp.

The all girls’ basketball camp will take place on December 14 and December 15 at the University of Ghana Basketball Court.

The Greater Accra Chair said this in his speech delivered at a press conference ahead of the two day event with the presser headlined by the University of Ghana Head of Sports Directorate Dr. Austin Luguterah.

Other dignitaries present at the presser were Ghana Basketball Federation Vice President (Administration) Alex Kukula, American basketball coach Robert Swain, mental health advocate Dr. Shelissa Thomas and New York Square’s Dan Isaacs. Speaking about the camp, regional basketball chairman said,

“I’m excited that this is happening now, that we are looking at sports, sports development, mental health and the general health of our people. So I’m very glad that you guys have partnered with us and we are working together to make sure Ghana benefits your expertise.”

On his part, Ghana Basketball Vice President Alex Kukula spoke about the inclusion of coach training at the camp to aid the development of Ghanaian players. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
