Mere days after marking his decade long association with Athletic Bilbao as a first team player, Ghana forward Inaki Williams has recorded another landmark achievement.
By scoring in Athletic Bilbao’s 2-0 win over Villarreal in the Spanish a Liga on Sunday, December 8, the 30 year old player recorded his 10th straight season with at least 10 goal contributions.
The 86th minute strike was Williams’ fourth goal of the 2024-2025 season in the league coupled with four assists in the league. He has two goals in five Europa League games in the ongoing campaign.
The goal also marked the first time since October 19 that Williams had found the back of the net in a league game. Prior to his goal against Villarreal, Inaki scored twice in a 4- win over Espanyol.
The Black Stars forward highlighted ending the dry spell on social media via his X (formerly Twitter) page with a post stating, “Returning to good habits” attached to images of his goal and goal celebration.
