Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has praised Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku for integrating well into the team on his return to the Kumasi club after a two year absence.

He said this in his post-game interview after Kotoko beat Bibiani Gold Stars 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium with Justice Blay and Kwame Opoku scoring for the Porcupine Warriors.

Opoku scored in his first game after returning to Kotoko following his run with Algerian side USM Alger and Moroccan team Olympique Khourigba with a smart finish in the second half and Dr. Ogum believes that Opoku’s fine start isn’t surprising considering his fine integration into the playing body.

“I’m not surprised because in terms of natural talent, he has it already and he’s been able to now use this natural talent to integrate himself into the team. He’s bonded very well and I think it’s good for us.”

In his first run around with Kotoko, Opoku scored seven goals in 16 Ghana Premier League games; Kotoko have moved to second place in the league standings after beating Gold Stars.
