Bayer Leverkusen wing back Jeremie Frimpong is clearly enjoying his holiday stay in Ghana as a viral video of the Dutch international suggests the 24 year old is having a blast in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
Frimpong, who is of Ghanaian descent, arrived in Ghana for the Christmas holidays as the Bundesliga observes its annual winter break.
On his arrival, Frimpong stated that he had always connected with his Ghanaian roots and in a widely circulated video on social media, the Bundesliga and German Cup champion put his “Ghanaian connection” on full display by singing and dancing to Ghanaian artiste Kontihene’s hit song “Esi”.
After winning Bayer Leverkusen’s first ever Bundesliga title last season, Frimpong stated on his arrival in Ghana that the German outfit’s aim for the 2024-2025 season is to repeat the feat and avoid getting tagged as “one season wonders”. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Leverkusen is doing exactly that as Xabi Alonso’s team ranks second in the league, four points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
For the season, Frimpong has four assists and two goals in 15 league games. Scroll down to watch video of Frimpong jamming to Kontihene’s hit song in Ghana.
