Following the conclusion of games in Match Week 21 in the Spanish La Liga 2024-2025 season, Ghana defender Abdul Mumin has been named to the La Liga Team of the Week.

Mumin made the elite list after delivering a brilliant performance in Rayo Vallecano’s 1-1 draw with Osasuna. Mumin won the Man of the Match Award.

The Black Stars player played out the entire duration of the game and had 63 touches with 40 passes completed out of 46 pass attempts.

He added eight clearances, five recoveries, blocked three shots, an interception while winning all four ground duels. The former Right To Dream Academy player won four of seven aerial duels.

After enduring a slow start to life at Rayo, Mumin has grown into key component of the team consistently delivering brilliant performances for the club.
