Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has expressed satisfaction with his team’s ability to seamlessly translate their training routines into matchday performances.

This tactical mastery was on full display during their commanding 4-1 victory over Vision FC, which marked the conclusion of the first round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.

Asante Kotoko’s resurgence after a challenging start to the season has been impressive. The team played nine games at home and nine away, amassing a commendable 31 points.

Their recent performances highlight their growing cohesion, leaving them just two points behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars, who sit atop the table with 33 points.

Speaking in a post-match interview after the Match week 17 fixture, Dr. Ogum commended his players for their progress and applauded the technical team for their efforts.

” First of all I want to congratulate the players for the outstanding display of performance today. The whole technical team is proud of them especially based on what we saw today and we saw a lot of offensive patterns of play which are a replica of what we have been doing at training.”

“That invariably tell us that they are transfering what we are doing at training into games and they were doing them with ease leading to creation of a lot of chances.” he said.

Asante Kotoko now shifts focus to their Round 18 clash against Karela United, set to take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, where they will aim to maintain their momentum in the title race.
