The first half was a tightly contested affair, with neither side finding the breakthrough.
Legon Cities dominated possession but were unable to turn their fluid attacking play into goals.
On the other hand, Dreams FC looked to capitalize on counterattacks but failed to test the opposing goalkeeper.
The second half, however, belonged entirely to the Royals. In the 53rd minute, Fredrick Akatuk opened the scoring with a well-timed header that left the Dreams FC defence scrambling.
The goal lifted the confidence of the home side, and their relentless pressure began to overwhelm the visitors.
Frank Akoto doubled the advantage in the 76th minute, delivering a powerful strike that gave the Dreams FC goalkeeper no chance.
With the game already beyond reach for the visitors, Raymond Agyemang added a third in stoppage time (90’+7), sealing an emphatic victory for Legon Cities.
Dreams FC’s frustrations were evident, as they picked up a yellow card in added time, marking a disappointing end to their outing.
This win is a significant boost for Legon Cities, who now move to 14th place, just above the relegation zone. Dreams FC, previously in 14th, now find themselves in the danger zone and must regroup quickly to avoid further setbacks.
Legon Cities will look to build on this momentum in their next fixture as they are to face Bibiani GoldStars.
Dreams FC, meanwhile, must address their defensive lapses if they are to escape the relegation battle.
