Real Valladolid head coach, Diego Cocca, has lauded the mentality of Ghana defender and new Real Valladolid recruit Joseph Aidoo.
His comments come in the wake of Aidoo’s loan transfer from fellow Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo with the transfer expected to last till the end of the 2024-2025 season.
After recovering from a major ruptured Achilles tendon injury, Aidoo struggled for game time with Celta having made just three appearances prior to the loan deal.
Speaking on the loan move for Aidoo, Cocca praised the Black Stars player’s mentality that Valladolid needs to move up the La Liga standings from the bottom spot it occupies at the time of writing.
“[I got] The chance to talk to him a few days ago and he has come here to compete…We will try to ensure that those who come (in through the January transfer window) do so with that mentality” he said of Aidoo.
