Chairman of the newly constructed Black Stars Management Committee, Dr. Randy Abbey, has stated that the body will leverage the immense wealth of experience of its members to aid Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team-the Black Stars- get back to excellent form.
Dr. Abbey said this in an exclusive interview with ChannelOne TV, on the sidelines of the vetting of the Defence Minister-Designate, Dr. Omane Boamah.
African football legend and former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, Medeama SC President Moses Armah, FC Samartex President Richard Nsenkyire and Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association Samuel Aboabire are also members of the Black Stars Management Committee.
In the interview, Dr. Abbey praised the qualities of the members and expressed belief that the body will use these qualities to change the Black Stars fortunes.
“It’s not about me, it’s about the team that I work with. Fortunately, I have some very competent members on the team…That’s a good team and I believe that together, we will be able to leverage our experiences to assist the technical team and the playing body to change the fortunes of the Black Stars.”
