French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon have sacked Pierre Sage and are set to appoint former AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca as head coach but the future of Ghana winger Ernest Nuamah remains undecided.
The 21 year old who is signed to Lyon till 2028, has been at the centre of several transfer reports linking him to English Premier League side including Everton. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Nuamah’s time at Lyon since joining from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland has been far from smooth and he almost sealed a move to Fulham last season.

The rumours linking Nuamah to clubs has resurfaced as the January transfer window nears a closure; Nuamah recently scored his debut goal in the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 season as Lyon conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 with Nantes.

In order to meet financial quotas, Lyon have sold Gift Orban to TSG Hofffenheim, loaned Wilfried Zaha to Charlotte FC with Said Benrahma set to join Saudi lower tier side Neom FC and Nuamah could also be on the move.
