Not playing in the FA Cup has given us time to prepare for Hearts game- Baba Kushibo

FC Samartex 1996 midfielder Baba Kushibo believes that the club’s non-participation in the MTN FA Cup Round of 32 games has given the Timber Giants enough time to prepare for its clash against Accra Hearts of Oak SC.

The upcoming Ghana Premier League clash comes off on Sunday, January 19 at the Nsenkyire Arena in Samreboi at 15:00 GMT.

The game marks Christopher Ennin’s first game as head coach for Samartex after his recent appointment and the former Berekum Chelsea head trainer believes the club won’t take the Hearts clash lightly but for the recently signed Kushibo, Samartex’s shock exit from the FA Cup came with an upside. “The preparation has been intense. For the past two weeks, we were not involved in the FA Cup so we’ve had enough preparation for the Hearts of Oak game.”

“We are very motivated; even though Hearts have been good for the past couple of games and it’s going to be an exciting encounter and we are ready for them.”
