Liverpool manager Arne Slot has praised Nottingham Forest ahead of Tuesday evening’s clash between the two sides.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference, the Dutch trainer said there are no underserving teams at this stage of the season stating
“I’ve always said that you can judge the table best halfway through the season and that moment is here now. Forest is up there with us, with Arsenal, Chelsea and City and all the others. Then they’re definitely a team that’s in competition with us and with the other teams and they deserve to be treated like this.”
Slot then alluded to their recent form explaining it would not be an easy game.
“If you look at the way they play, if you look at the results. So yeah, it’s going to be a very difficult challenge tomorrow to go get a result.”
Nottingham Forest have exceeded expectations this season and find themselves 3rd on the league table behind Arsenal and leaders Liverpool and are currently on a 6 match winning streak.
