Reports reaching Citi Sports indicate that Executive Chairman of Nsoatreman Football Club, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for questioning after the death of a football fan at Nsoatreman FC’s home game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Popular Kotoko fan, Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley, was stabbed to death as Kotoko lost 1-0 to Nsoatreman at the Nana Koramansah Park in Nsoatre.
An on-field melee involving players from both sides ended in three red cards dished out to Kotoko and a red card dished out to an Nsoatreman player, some fracas involving supporters of both teams resulted in the stabbing of Pooley.
Immediate past Member of Parliament for Sunyani West Constituency and a former Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Baffour Awuah, has since been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for questioning over incidents connected to the harrowing incident.

The sad event that happened over the past weekend is the latest episode of hooliganism at a Ghana Premier League centre.
