Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo believes that winning the 2024-2025 Emirates FA Cup would be the cherry on top of the cake for AFC Bournemouth who are enjoying a wonderful season.

At the time of writing, the Cherries rank seventh in the English Premier League standings and have qualified to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Bournemouth have been drawn against Newcastle United in the upcoming round in March after beating Everton 2-0 in the previous round.

Semenyo scored in the win over Everton with a vicious penalty kick; the game marked the last FA Cup tie played at Goodison Park as Everton are set to move to their new stadium at the end of this season.

Prior to losing to Liverpool in the league, Bournemouth were unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions and Semenyo indicated that an FA Cup title win would be the cherry on top of a wonderful season.

“[The FA Cup] would be the cherry on top of the cake for us. We know we’re doing well this season. The manager finds [a cup run] very important, all of us as individuals find it important,” he added. “It [would] be lovely to reach a semifinal where we’re playing at Wembley” Semenyo said according to ESPN and added that

“This is a dream of mine personally, and I think for the team, we’d love to have a cup run and see how far we can go. We just have to wait and see.”
