The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially unveiled Kim Lars Björkegren as the new head coach of the Black Queens.
The announcement was made at his first press conference since his appointment where he expressed his excitement about taking on the role. He also spoke about his appreciation after meeting meeting many good people including the Sports Minister for Sports and Recreation- Kofi Iddie Adams.

Björkegren acknowledged that challenges lie ahead but remains optimistic about his tenure and emphasized his commitment to scouting and developing players to strengthen the team.
“Most importantly my job will be, travel and see the players to watch games and help them improve and that is the most important thing for me and the staff which is to work hard every single day and we will be successful sooner or later” he stated.
Bjokehren takes charge at a crucial time for the Black Queens as they prepare for upcoming friendlies against Morocco and the Women African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
His experience and approach will be key in shaping the future of Ghanaian women’s football.
