A former Minister of Defence, Dominic Nitiwul, made his analogy in the wake of the Black Stars’ 5-0 win over Chad and 3-0 win over Madagascar in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers recently.
“When you are sad…and Black Stars win or somebody wins, you are happy and you are jumping up and down, you forget momentarily all your problems and it’s like drinking, you take some small alcohol and it makes you look happy. When they win, you are happy, everybody is happy, everybody jubilates” he said.
