Nations Football Club defender Razak Simpson is sure to head to the Black Stars camp feeling very buoyant after scoring a brilliant free kick.
Simpson struck a powerful free kick from 28 yards to put Nations up 1-0 in the 33rd minute and celebrated by doing the greedy dance ; Nations went on to beat Medeama SC 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League contest.
Teammate Faisal Charwetey scored in the 79th minute to cancel out Medeama’s Yussif Mubarik’s goal in the 59th minute.
The goal was Simpson’s third in 17 league appearances this season while Charwetey’s brilliant campaign continues as he bagged his 10th league goal in 19 games.
Simpson is one of three Ghana Premier League players called up to the Black Stars; Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare and Medeama’s Kamaradini Mamudu were also named in the squad.

26 year old Simpson is one of nine defenders named in the Black Stars squad by head coach Otto Addo that is set to play against Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
