Beating Bechem United away from home is huge to our title ambitions- Gold Stars Head Coach

Head Coach of Bibiani Gold Stars Football Club, Frimpong Manso, has described his team’s 2-0 win over Bechem United as a “huge” one for the club’s ambitions of winning the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League title.

Despite succumbing to its third game in four outings without a win, Bechem United hadn’t conceded a goal or lost a game at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park this season prior to Gold Stars win.

After erasing the above mentioned record, Gold Stars head coach reflected on the importance of the win at the tough venue.

“It’s about the mindset. We’ve tried to condition their (players’) mind that…we need to make sure first we don’t concede so we make sure we put in midfielders who can fight for the 50-50 balls and the moment we are able to do that, it gives us some advantage. It’s a very huge win, it’s given us the hope, the confidence” Frimpong Manso said in a post-game interview.

Gold Stars take on Berekum Chelsea next on Sunday, April 20.
