GPL: The pitch didn’t help us- Medeama Captain on loss at Kpando

Medeama Sporting Club captain, Fatawu Sulemana, has blamed the pitch at Kpando Hearts of Lions’ home ground as the main reason behind his team’s loss to the home side.

The Yellow and Mauve lost 1-0 to Kpando Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League at the Kpando Stadium with Ebenezer Abban scoring the winning goal in the 72nd minute.

Speaking in the post-game interview, Medeama’s skipper was far from impressed about the nature of the pitch at the Kpando Stadium and its influence in Medeama’s 10th loss of the season thus far.

“It was a good game for us but the pitch wasn’t helping us. As you could see, we were trying to possess the ball more but the pitch was not helping us. We are very disappointed but we will go and prepare for our next away match” Sulemana said.

Medeama are fourth in the standings after the loss and take on league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars next on Sunday, April 20 at 15:00 GMT.
