Aspiring Assistant Treasurer Candidate in the 2025 Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) Elections, Aurora Commodore-Toppar, has stated that she doesn’t belong to any “camp” ahead of the elections.
This year’s GOC Elections will take place on April 25 with Daniel Akpokavi and Mike Aggrey contesting the GOC Presidency; Ben Nunoo Mensah decided against running for another four year term after serving two terms in the position.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Aurora Commodore-Toppar, who doubles as Treasurer of the Ghana Basketball Federation, indicated that she is willing to work with any individual should she win the position regardless of the individual affiliations.
“As I speak to you. I am not in any camp, I’m just trying to portray myself and market myself with the best of my abilities. I will sell myself out there and appeal to the delegates to give me a chance to occupy that position.”

She added that, “with my four year tenure as a Treasurer of the Ghana Basketball Federation and also 14 years experience as a banker, I think if given the chance, I will be able to bring my expertise to bear and I think it will go a long way to help GOC function properly.”
