Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has described his team’s narrow win over Berekum Chelsea as a challenging one.
Kotoko beat Chelsea 1-0 courtesy a 79th minute goal from Adrian Adjetey with the win moving Kotoko back into first place on the Ghana Premier League standings.
In his post-game presser after the game, Dr. Ogum commended Chelsea’s game plan and acknowledged the challenges his team went through before getting the win.
“They-Chelsea- are very good aerially. When the ball goes up, first balls, second balls, whether behind our defence or in front of our defence, they are always there, very aggressive to win the ball so it made the game a little bit challenging in the middle of the park.”

“On a few occasions, we were able to split their defence but we were in a rush to score. I remember [the missed chances of] Peter [Amidu], Kwame Opoku. It was a balanced game…it was a very challenging game but at the end of the day, the important thing is that we won.”
