Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has confessed that the scorer of Kotoko’s latest game winner was a surprise to him.
He made this confession in his post-game presser after Adrian Adjetey scored in the 79th minute to settle a tough Ghana Premier League matchup against Berekum Chelsea.
In a game, Dr. Ogum described as balanced and challenging, Adjetey’s strong shot attempt off a corner kick gave Kotoko their 13th win 24 games but Dr. Ogum was shocked that the 25 year old right full back scored the game’s winning goal. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“Simply put, I never thought the goal would come from somebody like him but that’s the nature of the game. Sometimes where you don’t expect the goals to come from or where you don’t expect creativity to come from somebody to score, that’s where it comes so I’m happy for him. I am hoping and believing that he will let this motivate him to do more” Ogum said.

Kotoko’s win over Chelsea gives them a one point lead over Bibiani Gold Stars (44 points) atop the standings.
