Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum is calling on Kotoko fans to reenact the brilliant show of support they showed for the team in its tie against True Democracy when the Porcupine Warriors take on Berekum Chelsea.
Kotoko’s Ghana Premier League game against Chelsea takes place on Wednesday, April 2 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on the back of beating lower tier side True Democracy 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the MTN FA Cup.
Kwame Opoku scored in the fifth minute of added on time in the second half to give Kotoko the win and progression to the semifinals.
In his post-game briefing, Dr. Ogum was impressed with the level of support shown by fans at the Baba Yara Stadium and Kotoko’s head coach wants the same atmosphere to be created in its midweek clash. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“They [the supporters] should come and behave like the way they behaved on Sunday when we played against True Democracy.”

“They were so hopeful, they were so encouraging, they were very optimistic that we were going to win the game, they knew the goal was going to come… so I will plead with them that once they’ve gotten into that zone of supporting us, they should keep supporting us in that way.”
