Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have parted ways with head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum with six games left to conclude the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season.

The separation comes in the wake of a poor run of form for the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing campaign that has had the Porcupine Warriors slip from first place in the standings to fourth place and six points off league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars who have 53 points.

Dr. Ogum’s side had drawn two games and lost 3-0 to Accra Lions and 2-0 to Nations FC in the last four games in the Ghana League.

After losing 2-0 to city rivals Nations FC on Sunday, Dr. Ogum described his team’s rate of conceding goals (five goals in the past two games) as uncharacteristic. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

A section of a statement released by the club on Monday, April 21, Kotoko stated, “This decision [to part ways with Dr. Ogum] was reached following constructive discussions between both parties, with a shared understanding that it is in the best interest of the club at this time.”
