Bibiani Gold Stars Football Club head coach, Frimpong Manso, believes that his team will benefit from having an extended break ahead of its big game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The big Ghana Premier League clash takes place in Bibiani at the Dun’s Park on Sunday, May 25 at 15:00 GMT; the game has second ranked Gold Stars take on the fourth ranked Kotoko in a straight battle to stay in title contention for either team.

Gold Stars trail league leaders Nations FC by a point but bagged a win in the previous round by default against Nsoatreman FC who have withdrawn from competing in the league and Frimpong Manso is confident that getting time to prepare for this weekend’s clash is a good thing.

“We’ve had enough preparation. Last weekend, we didn’t play because of the Nsoatreman situation so we did a lot of work then and this week, we’ve worked on a lot of things” he said.

On the game, Frimpong Manso stated, “If you want to become a champion, it doesn’t matter the opposition, you need to also fight and win the game…that is what we should, we should try and win the game.”
