GPL: Nations FC sweep Monthly Awards ahead of Samartex Clash

Nations Football Club’s brilliant run in the month of April in the Ghana Premier League 2024-2025 season got heavily recognized after scooping up multiple awards.

The league leaders won the Goalkeeper of the Month, Coach of the Month and Goal of the Month Awards ahead of the team’s crucial league game against defending champions FC Samartex 1996 on Sunday, May 25 at 15:00 GMT.

Rabin Ousmane Sanon kept four clean sheets and conceded a goal in five games to be named Goalkeeper of the Month in April.

Kassim Ocansey Mingle led Nations to four wins in five games while conceding just a goal in April to be named as the Coach of the Month.

Nations FC captain Razak Simpson won the Goal of the Month Award in April with his brilliant long range strike in a win over Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Kumasi based club’s brilliant form in the past month has powered it to the summit of the Ghana League standings (57 points) and hold a point lead over second ranked Bibiani Gold Stars who take on fourth ranked Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
