Hohoe United Football Club Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Asante, has assured fans and sympathizers of the club that Hohoe’s run in the Ghana Premier League won’t be a blip but one that is sustained.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after Hohoe United confirmed its qualification from the Access Bank Division One Zone Three to the elite division thanks to a 3-1 win over Inter Allies in the penultimate round of games.
After dismissing reports that Hohoe’s home advantage over visiting teams is down to the astro turf at the Hohoe Stadium, Kenneth Asante stated that the club is putting in place measures to ensure they stick around for a long time in the top flight division. “Most definitely, we are not a team that qualifies to the Ghana Premier League and returns to play Division One the following season. I want to assure you that Hohoe United is going to break that jinx.”

“We are not going to play in the Ghana Premier League and come back but then we are going to play and stay in the Ghana League even you will see us competing for the sole spot for Africa in the Ghana League.

Swedru All Blacks qualified to the Ghana League from Zone Two while the winner of the Real Tamale United and Techiman Eleven Wonders game on Friday, May 30 at the Accra Sports Stadium progresses from Zone One.
