Ghana Black Stars forward Inaki Williams has been officially named as the main captain of Spanish La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.

The veteran forward will lead the club as the leader for the 2025-2026 season with the confirmation coming in the wake of Oscar De Marcos’ departure from Bilbao.

Williams has been in the news recently after winning the La Liga African Player of the Year Award for the second time in a row while hoping Bilbao have a good campaign in the upcoming UEFA Champions League campaign after finishing fourth in the league standings.
