The Black Stars of Ghana delivered a dominant performance to clinch third place in the 2025 Unity Cup thanks to a 4-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago.

The four nation tournament that has Nigeria taking on Jamaica in the final game had Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team easily handle the threat of the Caribbean nation to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Nigeria.

Nigeria won the Unity Cup 5-4 in a penalty shootout after the game ended 2-2 at the end of regulation time.

Ghana captain Jordan Ayew starred in the game by registering two assists and scored a beautiful goal in 60 minutes on the pitch.

The veteran forward curled the ball into the net with his left foot after a neat piece of skill to create space for the shot in the sixth minute.

Nations Football Club defender Razak Simpson headed in Ghana’s second goal off a Jordan Ayew corner kick and underlined his improved performance from his bad outing against Nigeria by starting the move for Ghana’s third goal with a brilliant pass to Caleb Yirenkyi.

Yirenkyi, the 19 year old FC Nordsjaelland player moved the ball on to Ayew who in turned played Mohammed Fuseini in on goal for the finish.

Lawrence Agyekum scored Ghana’s fourth goal when Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper Jabari St. Hillaire made a mess of the Cercle Brugge player’s cross.

Fuseini picked up an injury and was replaced by Brandon Thomas-Asante. Abdul Aziz Issah and Majeed Ashimeru were also introduced off the bench.
