Black Stars captain, Jordan Ayew, has stated that Ghana’s big win over Trinidad and Tobago in the 2025 Unity Cup looked easy but it was anything but easy.

Ghana hammered Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 at the G-Tech Community Stadium to clinch third place in this year’s Unity Cup. Nigeria beat Jamaica in the final via 5-4 penalty shootout win after the game ended 2-2.

Jordan Ayew who made this statement in an interview with Sporty FM, scored Ghana’s first goal and assisted two goals in just 60 minutes on the pitch.

Razak Simpson, Mohammed Fuseini and Lawrence Agyekum scored the rest of Ghana’s goals to round off the dominant win but Jordan Ayew was quick to point out that the win wasn’t easy though it looked easy.

“We approached the game really well. We made the game look simple but it wasn’t simple but the players did well, the young really did well… some of them really took their opportunities and I’m happy for them. They just need to keep pushing and keep believing in themselves and keep putting in performances like this.”
