Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team, the Black Queens, have recorded another win in a friendly game ahead of competing in this year’s CAF Women’s AFCON.

The Black Queens beat Benin 4-2 in the second of three friendlies lined up for the team before taking on the competition in next month’s continental championship. Ghana beat Malawi 3-1 prior with Doris Boaduwaa scoring a hat-trick.

Ghana trailed 2-1 at half time before Susan Ama Duah and Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah scored in the 70th and 81st minute respectively to win the game.

Despite a switch in the friendly game opponent from Botswana to Benin, Ghana managed to maintain its winning run before taking on Nigeria in its final friendly tie.

The game against Nigeria is scheduled for Sunday, June 29; this year’s Women’s AFCON runs from July 5 to July 26 in Morocco with South Africa as defending champions.
