Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have officially said goodbye to five players in the wake of winning the 2025 MTN FA Cup title.

Kotoko beat Golden Kick 2-1 at the University of Ghana Stadium to clinch the title and qualify to next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

However, after bagging the title, the Porcupine Warriors have proceeded to mutually terminate the contracts of three players while declining to renew the contracts of two others.

Nigerian midfielder Fernando Wisdom Bassey, Sampson Eduku and Daniel Adrian Adjetey have had their contracts mutually terminated by the club.

Michael Kyei Dwamena and goalkeeper Fredrick Asare’s contracts on the other hand, were not renewed by the club following the conclusion of the season.

Reports indicate that as many as 11 players are set to depart Kotoko with the departures signaling what is expected to be a busy offseason for the Porcupine Warriors who are yet to name a substantive head coach.

We can confirm the departure of Fernando Wisdom Bassey, Sampson Eduku and Daniel Adrian Adjetey from the club by mutual termination.
