Head coach of Ghana’s National Women’s Football team, the Black Queens, Kim Lars Bjorkegren has praised his team over its “improving” attack.
He made the comment in the aftermath of the Black Queens 4-2 win over Benin in a pre-Women’s AFCON friendly game.
The win is the second in a row for the Black Queens who will play their final friendly game against Nigeria on June 29. Prior to beating Benin, Ghana beat Malawi 3-1.
Lars Bjorkegren is expected to name his final squad on July 1 ahead of the Women’s AFCON that is scheduled to take place in Morocco from July 5 to July 26.
After seeing his team score seven goals in two games, Bjorkegren was pleased with the output heading into a crucial contest against Nigeria.

“I think we were struggling a little bit in the middle of the first half. It was a little and the ball was played in the air than on the ground and that probably helped the opponent a little bit more but when we took it down and started to play football, we were absolutely the better team and we scored four goals.”

“So the attack is starting to look better and better; we have scored seven goals now in two games so it’s good.”
Ghana is in Group C at the Women’s AFCON with defending champions South Africa, Mali and Tanzania. Scroll down to watch video.
