Archrivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, have delivered the latest form of their rivalry by posting very identical performances in the just concluded Ghana Premier League (GPL) campaign.

The 2024-2025 GPL season had Bibiani Gold Stars win the title for the first time but the GPL heavyweight duo under delivered for the third straight season.

Kotoko finished in fourth place with Hearts of Oak coming in fifth place in the season ending standings; Nations FC missed out on winning the title after losing 2-0 to Kpando Heart of Lions on the final day.

Beyond ending the season with the same points (58), Kotoko and Hearts had the same number of wins (16), drawn games (10) and losses (eight) respectively.
