He made this statement on the sidelines of the 2025 edition of the marathon held at the Black Star Square in Ghana’s capital, Accra, on Saturday, July 26.

The event had recreational runners, para-athletes and professional marathon runners compete in various forms of marathon racing while covering race courses that run through the capital city.

President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, headlined the event and in his speech delivered at the opening ceremony, he stated that the competition will be added to Ghana’s Tourism Calendar moving forward. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
