Minister of Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams has delivered a stern warning to encroachers on the lands designated to the Borteyman Sports Complex.
In a briefing to the press after touring the facility, the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency termed any development of property on the land as a “wasted investment.”
The Sports Minister made it known that the multi-purpose sports facility that served as the host venue for a majority of sports discipline events at the 2023 African Games, has more facilities that need to be completed and the portion of undeveloped land shouldn’t be encroached on.
“I want to send a message to all those who either are paying for land in this area this space…for the land acquired from the University of Ghana for the purposes of developing sports infrastructure not to continue with the transaction.”

“Those who are engaged in construction, who have paid already and are constructing, it’s better for them to stop because any investment they make in this area will be a wasted investment” Kofi Adams said.
