A member of the Volta Regional Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee, Foster Osei, has expressed deep frustration over the longstanding abandonment of the Ho Sports Stadium, accusing successive governments of failing to honour promises to complete the facility.
Speaking on Breakfast Daily on Channel One Tv, Osei said the pattern of neglect has persisted across multiple administrations, regardless of political affiliation.
Every successive government has made promises towards that, but all of them have failed—and I will not mince words. Government in, government out

He recalled a visit by former Deputy Sports Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye, who pledged during his time in office to restart the stadium project completely. That promise, he noted, was never fulfilled before the administration left power.
The only time something was done in the name of renovation was when they brought in seats from the Accra Sports Stadium after the May 9 disaster during President J.A. Kufuor’s era. That’s the only thing we saw.
Osei further criticized the regional leadership’s lack of action, alleging that Volta Regional Minister Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa has not visited the stadium at all over the past eight years.

And during the last 8 years, i can bet you that the regional minister, Dr. Yao Archibald Letsa never visited the stadium
The Ho Sports Stadium remains in a state of disrepair, years after construction began. Once envisioned as a hub for sports development in the Volta Region, it now stands as a symbol of unfulfilled political promises and growing public disappointment.
