Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has opened up on his decision to sign a contract extension with English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.
Speaking in an interview with British media outlet Sky Sports, the former Bristol City player pointed to him feeling wanted as the reason he decided to extend his stay with the Cherries.
Semenyo signed his new deal earlier this offseason which effectively keeps under contract with Bournemouth till 2030 and the Black Stars player shed more light on his mindset in connection to the new contract terms.
“When you somewhere, you want to feel wanted, and I didn’t feel that elsewhere so this was my safe place. I felt wanted and it’s good to be back. It’s still the best place to be right now” Semenyo said.

In his second full season at Bournemouth after joining the club from Bristol City, Semenyo registered 11 goals and six assists in 37 games in the league while becoming a regular starter for Andoni Iraola’s team.
