Ghana winger Ibrahim Osman is expected to be a player for French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre in the coming days as a loan deal between the club and English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion has been agreed.
According to Italian football insider Fabrizio Romano, the deal is considered a done deal with the loan arrangement including an option to buy.
Should Osman excel with the French side, Auxerre could buy him from Brighton for 16 million euros which would represent a transfer record for Auxerre.
Osman stayed with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland to see out the 2023-2024 season after signing for Brighton in the January transfer window but spent the 2024-2025 campaign in the Dutch League competing for Feyenoord.
He played 32 games in all competitions and registered four goals and three assists and was part of Feyenoord’s UEFA Champions League run where he played seven games.

Osman joins Black Stars teammates Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu at Auxerre. Auxerre returned to the French League last season and finished 11th.
